Gerald G. Oestreich was born and raised in Wisconsin, a true Cheesehead and Packer fan!

Gerry migrated to the Averill Park, NY area in late 1970 to work for a publishing company out of Washington DC, covering the 16 counties in the NE corner of NY state.

After almost 10 years, Gerry started in the Equipment Lease Financing business as an independent Broker. After a few years of struggling, he opened an Albany office for the Beneficial Commercial Corp leasing operation. This was back in the days of 18-19% Prime interest rates and provided a good background and education until they closed all 25 of the offices down around the country. At that time Gerry became an independent Leasing Broker again in 1983 and never looked back. Building a company than called Adirondack Leasing Associates Ltd, Gerry built it from a one-man show to a 15 employee organization. First Niagara Bank bought the company from Gerry 9/7/04 when First Niagara was in the process of purchasing the Troy Savings Bank and Hudson River Bank & Trust. This helped to support their banking customers with leasing solutions in the capital district.

After the 3 year employment contract expired, Gerry set off on his own again as an independent Equipment Financing Broker. Today the entire menu of services includes: Equipment and IT technology financing, Work Vehicle financing, Consumer financing programs for Medical and dental professional’s patients. Consumer financing programs for medical devices, like Hearing Aids, Motorized Scooters, etc. We also have Consumer Retail financing for most retail applications such as Jewelry Stores, Furniture Stores, Health Clubs, Pool Sales, Water Systems, Buyers Clubs, etc. Gerry also gets involved in Accounts Receivable Financing, Construction Contract Financing and purchasing of Service Contracts of most any type, as long as they are non-cancellable!

Gerry was very active in several area non-profits over the years including: Cub Scouts, Sand Lake Kiwanis, Sales & Marketing Executives of Eastern NY, the MS Society, Capital District Business Leaders, Albany Executives Association, the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce, the Church of the Covenant as well as a charter member, Past President and Board Member of the National Association of Equipment Leasing Brokers.
